One of my favourite dish has always been Assam Pedas. Assam Pedas(directly translated to Sour Spicy) is a dish which gets that special tasty blend from tamarind and chilli. It is usually cooked with fish and my favourite fish is sting ray.
In this post, I am going to talk about a stall that I always frequent; Nur Fah Muslim Corner.
I arrived at Nur Fah Muslim Corner at about 11.15am.
Unfortunately, when I was placing the order, the Sting Ray Assam Pedas was still brewing, so I had to make do with what's available.
If I enjoy what I eat, I will share. This is my motto as far as this blog is concerned. Not paid advertisement, just pure sharing of experience and also to help those searching for recommended halal food in a particular area. For eg, if you're in North area, just click 'north' under the 'categories' column on the right side and you will have your options. Easy.

Sweet Deserts at Salty Peanut Gelato Cafe
It was hot and humid afternoon and my wife wanted to eat ice-cream. I thought "let's go and buy a tub of Magnolia's ice-cream, some wafers and chocolate fudge". What can I say, Sometimes, I can be a terribly simple person.
She suggested Salty Peanut Gelato Cafe.
I have never heard of Salty Peanut Gelato Cafe and from my own knowledge, the only Gelato-like cafe that is halal is Gelare Cafe.

Welcome To The Makan Maniac
hey, hey, hey there everyone!
Welcome to The Makan Maniac where you will get some reviews of the well known as well as underground cuisines from different parts of the world.
The word 'Makan' in the title simply means 'eat'. So this is a blog that shares my experiences of my own dining experience. For those who knows me, you will know why I use the word Maniac. I am a maniac especially when it comes to food. No, I'm not a glutton. I'm just someone who wants to enjoy one of the simple things in life; eat.
So feel free to search and browse. If you do have any queries or suggested collaborations, feel free to leave me a comment.
Last but not least, May The Food Be With You!
