The GreaThai Restaurant - The Thai Styled Steamed Fish Specialist

These days, we have so many restaurants selling Thai food. One of the common dishes of a thai cuisine is non-other than Tom Yum. I have eaten tom yum on many occassions but it was only recently I learnt that there are two types of tom yum...

I went to the GreaThai restaurant for lunch and I realised that there are two types of tom yum soup; red and white. I asked the waitress and according to the waitress, the red variety contains coconut milk and both are just as spicy.

When I eat out as a family, one of the things I appreciate is cutlery for toddlers. After we ordered, we casually asked for extra plates for my two toddlers. The waiter came back with these colourful plates and cutlery.

We ordered;
1. two plates of rice
2. one bowl of seafood tom yum soup(red)
3. Prawn Omelette
4. Thai-styled steamed fish
5. Coconut Ice-Cream for Dessert

15 minutes later, the food was served.

Thai-styled Steamed Fish
The Food
The best dish has got to be the Thai-styled steamed fish. The chilli padi was not mixed with the rest of the gravy, so it was eatable for my two toddlers. The fish tasted fresh and this dish was a good blend of sour-ness and spicy-ness.

Once you tasted the gravy of the thai-styled steamed fish, the spicy-ness of the tom yum soup became rather mild. As for the omelette, it was not dry and the prawns was quite juicy. However, they used small prawns and I had to search for the prawns just to confirm that it was not a plain omelette.

The coconut ice-cream was rather rich, with strong coconutty taste with small pieces of coconut flesh.
